COTELAC SUPPORTS

Cotélac in support of the Women's Foundation and Solfa

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Cotélac is committed to supporting the Women's Foundation .

This year, we are donating parts to the SOLFA association , which supports women in precarious situations and victims of domestic violence in Lille.

These donations allow the women we support to access clothing that helps them rebuild their lives and regain confidence. Because clothing can sometimes be the starting point: the starting point for a date, an interview, a new chapter.

To support their actions or make a donation:

    Women's Foundation

The Women's Foundation is the leading organization in France for the defense of women's freedom and rights.

Created in March 2016 under the aegis of the Fondation de France by Anne-Cécile Mailfert, it has established itself in a few years as an essential player in the fight for equality.

Recognized as a public utility, it works against violence against women and for the promotion of their fundamental rights.

Its mission rests on three essential pillars:

    • raising funds from the general public and businesses
    • redistribute them to local associations
    • strengthen the capacities of these structures

Since its creation, more than 14 million euros have been donated to nearly 650 community projects, helping thousands of women who are victims of violence or in precarious situations.

The Foundation also supports associations through a concrete emergency accommodation scheme, with more than 46,000 nights of safety accommodation financed since 2020.

The Foundation also has a legal force of 400 lawyers who work to advance women's rights in law and in the courts.

    Solfa

SOLFA — Solidarité Femmes Accueil is an association based in Lille.

Founded in 1947, it supports women and children in difficulty facing precariousness and violence in the Hauts-de-France region.

With 200 dedicated employees, it now relies on 36 establishments and services located in the region.

Its activities are organized around three complementary areas:

    • The Accommodation and Integration division manages several CHRS (Emergency Accommodation and Social Reintegration Centers) as well as a service dedicated to professional integration and a center for accountability for perpetrators of domestic violence.
    • The Child and Family division runs a children's home with a social focus, which houses and provides daily support to adolescent girls or young mothers in great difficulty.
    • The Women's Violence Unit has a listening service, a reception and emergency accommodation to ensure the safety of women and children in danger.

In addition to day care centers in Lille, Armentières, Douai and inland Flanders, this latter center also manages a therapeutic consultation and prevention center for children who are victims of violence.

In 2023, SOLFA responded to more than 13,000 calls, supported 8,000 people and provided shelter for 600 women and children.

Its purpose: to combat any attack on the moral and physical integrity of women, through personalized and caring support based on a relationship of trust.
